In 2006, the Nottingham Community was shocked to learn of Al’s untimely passing at the young age of 22 to Ayplastic Anemia, a rare bacterial disease. His loss has left a void in our community and in all of our hearts.
A dedicated player, coach, friend and mentor, Al’s legacy is one which has left a lasting impression upon the Nottingham Northstar family.
The Alfred G. Doan, Jr. Memorial foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that helps to preserve Al’s legacy and to celebrate his life.
